Each year in Delaware and Union Counties, hundreds of children are victims of violence, sexual abuse, and neglect. Sometimes these children are removed from their homes and placed in temporary foster homes.
They are surrounded by strangers. It can be confusing, wondering what has caused them to be taken away from their family, friends, and their home.

The mission of Friends of CASA of Delaware and Union Counties is to recruit, screen, train, and support community volunteers to advocate in court for child victims of abuse and neglect.

CASA advocates in the best interest of abused and neglected children in Delaware and Union Counties.
We recruit, train and support community volunteers who serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates for abused and neglected children in the juvenile court system proceedings.
CASA volunteers are “the voice of the child” in court; providing information and perspective to assist the judge in making informed
decisions that are in the best interest of the child.
